Sean and I keep telling each other that we need to do a better job of looking ahead at what’s happening in the city so that we can take better advantage of what it has to offer. Too often I’ll be reading a magazine and see that Chanticleer, for example, is performing here this weekend, and of course it’s far too late to get tickets, and I feel like an idiot.
The latest example is the Tribeca Film Festival. I kept intending to look over the program and buy tickets, but it was so long with so many options, and I put it off, and now the festival starts Wednesday, and do I have tickets? No. No, I do not.
Maybe I can scrounge up something, but I’ve been looking over the program online this evening, and I’m discouraged. It seems as though every time I think, “Oh, that sounds good,” advance tickets are no longer available, and I have no one to blame but myself.
I really need to get my act together.
